What did I learn from this assignment? That my camera is rather limited (keeping the aperture at 8 never got me to white), and it is also a liar. Oh, and books don't make a good tripod. But here's what I came up with.

Now like I said, my camera lies. It lies about a lot of things, but particularly histograms. The screen will say one thing, I take the picture, and oh look--it's completely different. Not good for checking exposures : / So I don't have any happy camera pictures for you, but here's something I saw on the way to up to campus today.

Assignment #1--Scavenger Hunt

By far my favorite from the shooting I did (though no, I did not shoot this seagull). I didn't know a whole lot about exposure, so it was by sheer luck that I didn't have to do much to the edited version.

There was a rainstorm brewing on Labor Day when I shot this. Squee! Trying to get a "good white" in the edit was I think actually not my favorite choice now that I'm posting it an hour before it's all due : /

Yes, it's a lone tree.
